All you need to know as you plan to visit ALC.
My first time going to ALC was the first time I had been to a Church service since I was about 5 years old. Being a new believer, it was slightly daunting turning up for my first Sunday service even though I knew people who would be there. My nervousness disappeared after walking in. I was greeted by friendly smiling faces and felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Being part of a Connect Group is where I have been able to ask the hard questions and be vulnerable about my relationship with Jesus. They are a group of people who are present in my life, who hold me accountable, encourage me, celebrate the good times but also pray with me during the tough times.

While attending university in another city I tried different churches but I never managed to feel at home as much as I do here at ALC. I always looked forward to coming back to this warm, welcoming, and family oriented community during semester breaks. I encourage anyone seeking a homely church community, whether to visit or to settle down, to come visit! We would love to get to know you!

When we first came to ALC our experience was that the people were very friendly and welcoming. What stood out was that room was made for the Spirit of God to move and this was very refreshing.

Since being part of a Connect Group I have grown in my faith in many ways. What I like most about being part of a Connect Group is the way we get to know each other and share our struggles and joys, and celebrate answered prayers together.

Entering a new church can be daunting, but when I entered I was immediately welcomed as a new friend. Christians tend to be nice so it was nothing new but these guys weren’t pushy. I felt if I said “thanks but no thanks, I feel I would better fit else where” they would respect that because I wasn’t a number to them.
